Cypress Gardens is turning 75 this year! In celebration they will be hosting “The Diamond Jubilee Camellia Festival and Flower Show†on February 17 and 18 from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. There will be two lectures (Saturday at 2:00 pm, Tony Bertauski will discuss “Growing Healthy Camellias;†and on Sunday, Mack Fleming will speak about “The History of Camelli Sinesis (Tea) in South Carolina.†Finally, on Sunday at 10:00 am, Miles Beach will host the garden walk that will feature many historic cultivars of Camellias.
In addition to these events, visitors are also welcome to view the gardens from the flat-bottom boats.
